Hi, I’m Josh, the owner of Up and Down Overhead Door.
I’m a Colorado native with over 7 years of hands-on experience in the garage door industry. I started this business to build something of my own—something grounded in my values. For me, that means running a company based on empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help people, not just sell to them.
I take pride in providing honest, reliable service and making sure every job is done right the first time. My goal is simple: treat people the way I’d want to be treated and give customers a level of service they can actually trust.
Outside of work, I’m a regular at the gym and enjoy staying active. I love spending time with my dog Maui, hanging out with friends, and watching sports—especially the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche.
Living with type 1 diabetes has taught me discipline, consistency, and resilience—qualities I bring into my work every day. No matter the job, I show up ready to work hard and do things the right way.
Whether you need a repair, installation, or just honest advice, I’m here to help.
Maui is a 6-year-old Black Lab and Australian Cattle Dog mix and the official mascot of Up and Down Overhead Door. He’s been by my side every step of my garage door journey and is a big part of what this business represents.
I rescued Maui from a kill shelter in Texas after he had been abandoned on the side of the road. From that moment on, he’s been more than just a dog—he’s been a loyal companion through everything.
Maui loves long walks, chasing tennis balls, carrying around his stuffed bunny rabbits, and of course—anything food-related. He’s incredibly friendly, full of personality, and always happy to meet new people.
If you happen to see him on a job or around town, don’t be surprised if he wants to say hello—Maui would love to meet you!
